DESCRIPTION:How do nativist\, right-wing populists consolidate power once elected to office? Comparing the case of India with United States and Brazil during episodes of right-wing populists in power\, this book project talk provides a theory of how the combination of capture of the information environment and status politics works to consolidate power for right-wing populist incumbents in multi-ethnic\, federal environments with different institutional constraints and media business models.
