Urusha Silwal serves as the Communications and events specialist at the SNF Agora Institute. In this role, she creates and manages content for all social media platforms, e-newsletter and the institute’s website. She also takes the leading role for all student facing communications and in-person activities.
Prior to joining the SNF Agora Institute at Johns Hopkins University, Urusha was a graduate student in Public Communication and Technology at Colorado State University where she did research on emerging social media among minority populations. She received her bachelor’s degree in Communications with a minor in Psychology from Mississippi University for Women in 2018. While in college, she worked as a Public Relations Assistant for the Office of Public Affairs and as a Broadcast Editor for the college newspaper – The Spectator. After graduation, she worked as a Production Assistant for WCBI-TV in Columbus, Mississippi. In her spare time, she likes to travel, dance and read novels. She speaks three languages and has visited more than ten countries in the world.
