Andrew Lentini leads strategic communications that amplify the institute’s mission to strengthen democracy through research, teaching, and public engagement. He collaborates closely with leadership, faculty, and students to share their work with a broad audience, translating complex scholarship into accessible stories and campaigns that drive civic dialogue and engagement.

Andrew brings more than two decades of experience in higher education and nonprofit communications, specializing in cause-driven messaging and public interest campaigns. Prior to joining SNF Agora, he served as Director of Marketing and Public Relations at the Center for Vaccine Development and Global Health at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. There, he oversaw communications for global research initiatives, led targeted recruitment campaigns for clinical trials, and coordinated crisis communications during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Earlier in his career, Andrew led communications efforts at the University of Georgia and the University of Maryland in sustainability and environmental safety. Across these roles, he developed award-winning campaigns, managed cross-functional creative teams, and built partnerships with donors, volunteers, and policymakers. His work is grounded in behavior change theory, with specialized training in Community-Based Social Marketing and the StoryBrand framework.

Andrew holds a B.S. in art education from Georgia Southern University and an M.Ed. from the University of Georgia focused on nonprofit administration and volunteerism. His approach blends strategy and creativity to build narratives that inspire action, mobilize communities, and advance democratic values.
