David Park

David Park is a data scientist and urban policy strategist with over two decades of experience in the public, private, and non-governmental sectors. He began his career launching an e-waste recycling and digital literacy program in Philadelphia through AmeriCorps. Currently, he is the Director of Data and Business Analytics at the National League of Cities (NLC), serving a network of 2,700+ cities across the U.S. As part of his role, he leads efforts to upskill NLC staff and city leaders on uses of artificial intelligence (AI) to address local challenges. Previously, David conducted policy, financial, and risk analyses at the Brookings Institution and management consultancy PricewaterhouseCoopers to advance bipartisan policies and capital projects. He serves on the boards of the Neighborhood Design Center, Project for Public Spaces, and the Beeck Center for Social Innovation and Impact at Georgetown University. From 2020 to 2022, David served on an advisory committee convened by the White House Office of Management and Budget to expand federal data access to local governments. He is a contributing author to Community-Engaged Scholarship (Penn Press 2025), a roadmap of how university assets can help cities tackle urgent challenges. A Baltimore native, David earned a BAS in Computer and Cognitive Science from the University of Pennsylvania and an MPP from Georgetown University.
