Please join us for a special staged reading performance of Electionland, a new play commissioned by the U.S. Capitol Historical Society, written by Jean Parvin Bordewich, and directed by Jennifer Welch. Electionland tells the story of the violent, highly partisan, disputed presidential election of 1876 and its consequences.

Catered reception at 5:15 pm. 

Reading from 6:00-7:15 pm followed by a brief Q&A period and panel discussion from 7:15-8:00 p.m. to delve deeper into some of the play’s themes.
