“How Oil Fuels Unrest? Pollution, Deprivation, and Ethnicity in 2019 Antiregime Protests in Iran”
Kadivar investigates the effects of oil extraction on protest outbreak through a mixed-method case study of an episode of anti-regime protest in Iran in 2019 that was triggered by a sudden hike in fuel prices.
