2020-2021 Student Engagement Board

Elizabeth Mensah is a junior at Hopkins studying Chemistry with a minor in Mathematics. Outside of academics, she serves as the co-president of Youth Library Tutorial, a campus organization which provides free tutoring services for Baltimore K-12 students and also volunteers in Thread, serving as a grandparent. As a STEM student and an immigrant from Ghana, she joined the Student Engagement Board in order to expand the Institute’s reach to STEM students and groups and to foster connections between the institute and cultural groups at Hopkins in order to discuss how civic engagement and inclusive dialogue impact democracies beyond the United States.
