Emma Vengosh Weinthal is a sophomore majoring in international studies from Durham, North Carolina. She is in the International Studies Direct Matriculation Program with the School of Advanced International Studies. Emma is interested in the development of authoritarianism and authoritarian states, as well as the causes of democratic backsliding and regime change. On campus, she is a member of the International Studies Leadership Council, Hopkins Votes, Blue Key Society, and conducts research at the JHU Information Security Institute. Emma looks forward to working with the SNF Student Engagement Board to engage with students and community members from different academic disciplines and backgrounds.
