Jahnavi is a PhD student here at JHU studying ocular drug delivery in the Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering department. Her interest in democracy and civic engagement began as a senior in high school, when she was a member of her school’s We The People team, which promotes civic engagement among young people. She is currently interested in how democracies vary by country, and how cultural nuances play into a country’s democratic model. Outside of research, Jahnavi enjoys hiking, reading, and exploring Baltimore.
