Headshot photo of Sebastian AlmodovarSebastian Almodovar is a first-year graduate student pursuing a master of arts in international economics and finance (STEM) at the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS). He is most interested in studying the intersection between economics and national security.  

 Sebastian has worked as a fellow for the office of U.S. Congressmember Adriano Espaillat (NY-13), served as advance team liaison and head of advance for two visiting prime ministers at Clinton Global Initiative events, and worked as a strategy and advance adviser to the campaign of former Democratic Candidate for the governorship of Florida, Andrew Gillum. Sebastian was also appointed by YABT-Organization of American States to serve as United States delegate for youth to the VIII Summit of the Americas in Lima, Peru, in 2018. Prior to joining Johns Hopkins University, Sebastian also worked for a financial consulting firm in New York City, assessing credit risk and valuing domestic and international transactions in both emerging and developed markets.
